Nothing to do with me, I went home a different way! Maybe my exhaust noise resonated across the Alps and caused an avalanche?!!

Now tell me, fellow Centenary Tour people...

Does anyone have any idea why the police were stopping all Maseratis after the Mont Blanc tunnel as they approached Chamonix? Anyone? Hmmm????

Not just Mont Blanc - I had to produce full documents at Swiss border in Konstanz and then a few miles up the road at the border near Schaffhaussen the German Customs pulled the car apart - so who went that route back and upset them? Luxembourg tonight and catching up with a mate in Brussels tomorrow and then ferry back Friday all being well

Went through Switzerland without a glitch. Travelled the St Gothard tunnel, did not see one policeman.

Not one Gendarme through France, but it was raining. Went through on Sunday. Interestingly, all the French staff at the Eurotunnel check-in knew about the event in Modena. Maybe they were waiting on Monday to welcome us into the warm bosom of their little Gallic hearts.

Just about to leave for the ferry. A fantastic day off in Epernay yesterday and now ready for the drag back home. 500 miles or so, piece of cake! Have a good one.

Davy - there was a whining noise in the car (coming from the pink, squidgy thing next to me, not the vehicle). I needed to get to Basel quickly.
