So I rang round everyone local and everyone wanted loads of money and couldn't do it for weeks, so I decided to tackle it my self, using the original X pipe I could see no reason why I couldn't just cut the box out and put some pipes in :)

So £14 on 1 metre of 2.5" stainless, 4 2.5" sleeve clamps at £7 each, and some exhaust putty at £3, so total cost £45

Basically just cut out out and bolted in :) easy !

Sounds awesome :)

So the X is that squeeze to the left in photo #1?

Ah now I understand why H & X sound different keeping the pulse down one side in the latter where the X divides it down both pipes?

Still don't understand the fascination with loud exhaust though.

Top work, beau, good job.

This is an original, in the best place for it. Off the car and hanging in my shed.

It's nothing like as simple as that - there are very complex waves, pulses, reflections from the exhaust tips, pressures etc. to consider. Having a 'balancing' connection between the banks improves exhaust flow and power, over keeping them separate.

So you've gone straight pipes!!!! Wow it will sound deeper than an H pipe as there is no balancer pipe! What's it like mate?

It's got the X pipe, so will sound like any other one with a X pipe centre section, it sounds perfect, just how I wanted it :)

Photo bucket has killed them, any chance of another link to the photos?

Not sure why, but yeah, this is what I did, just cut the silencer out, replaced with pipe
