To Bill McGrath via batterd Volvo to pick up my new old wheels.

One word: Wow!

A few highlights...

The recently discussed Touring Maserati Shooting-Brake :D

Apparently there's only two or three of these in the world...

Below: The Parachute Regiment badge...

Next: this was apparently Joe Walsh's actual car: the one that featured in *that* song, and the fastest production car in the world in its day...

Then this: said to be worth (at least) a cool million:

And finally a peculiar choice of bespoke hue for a QP...

I collected my wheels and keyring, dropped a further 30 notes which I thought was reasonable value for a full set of used wheel bolts, and got the **** outta there before I was carted off to the nuthouse for slobbering and drooling.

Lovely place....I yearn for the shooting brake....Love it....

It's got a sort of Brera look to the rear end... Wonder how much one would set a fellow back... Just the thing for my ski weekend fantasies...

Oh dear, you just missed one :)

"One of only four to be built on the Maserati Quattroporte platform in 2009, it was specifically constructed for Italian financier and former Ducati President Dr Carlo Bonomi, for use on his estate."...sold for £100,000. http://www.rmauctions.com/lots/lot.cfm?lot_id=1059491

B@lls. My personal specifications particularly included a fridge to keep the Cava chilled and a stash for the sawn-offs :D

Touring will still make one for you I believe. Supply them a QP and a bag of money (€90K should cover it IIRC) and voila, somewhere to put the labrador.

They're getting a bit common, tbh. I'll just fit a towbar and small trailer to the 4200 :D

You'll be cutting quite a dash on the next trip to the municipal dump, JM. In fact, I may even go so far as to say that you will have the classiest roof-box on the whole forum.

Secured with an array of insulation tape and baling twine, with a couple of lurchers hanging out the windows, snarling at passers-by :D

Bill's has some lovely motors in, many of them were there at the open day last year, some lovely photos though Jerkmoans, there are many familiar faces to be seen on this thread too, including my good self sitting in that very car of Joe's... http://www.sportsmaserati.co.uk/showthread.php/7919-Bill-McGrath-Open-Day-Saturday-August-4th/page6?highlight=bill+open Hard to hide the grins :D

Open Day? Oh yes! Great pics... I want one of meeeee doing that!! :D

THAT is precisely the image I'm after. With the hound's head sticking out the top.
