New Wheels

Through the fortune of this forum and eBay project "you're not going on the scrap heap yet" got treated to some new wheels today!

Forum member Graham advertised his wheels and bolts on here a week ago and after weighing up the cost of re-rubbering and refurbishing my alloys I knew I might as well see if I could grab his wheels as I much prefer the look of them to the stock wheels.

As with Dems grill it seemed the right bits turned up just at the right time!

A 3 hour trip over to Emblem (where Graham had his wheels stored) had me drooling at all their lovely metal work on display.. but as much as I wanted to loiter around all day I did also want to fit my new wheels. A quick stop off at Grahams to say hi (and a thoroughly nice chap he is too!) and pick up the wheel bolts and it was back to the motorways.

Typically after getting them switched over and taken out for some photos the heavens opened.. hence the slightly "arty" photo. Maybe the weekend will bring something a bit sunnier!

This does now mean I have some spare wheels if anybody is interested in a set of stock 3200 wheels at a cheap price. Will post details of them later...

I hope you have a very good handbrake! These cars are known for having rubbish handbrakes, so you must keep yours in top working condition!

In the 2 weeks I've had the car, I've had the rear wheels off more times than I care to remember....!

With the lever up as far and as hard as I can pull it she just stays put on the driveway. Luckily it's an Auto so Park will stop it hurtling off down the neighbourhood without my knowledge... I hope :)

Such a nice weekend I can't stop taking it out for a spin and taking photos... :)

Can't believe how much this car has turned around from when I bought it to now with just a little elbow grease!

Also a mate came round in his dad's Aston which he tried to push onto me. I am tempted!
