IIRC, the 90s spyders aren't Regarded as being GSs but they have the GS body kit, including surfboards, GS paint colours and all the GS interior. They also have carbon 'seat humps' with a glass wind deflector. GSs in all but name, it would appear.

Hi Guy's

This was my old car, it has larini decat and x pipe but standard rear box, the car had 444 at DMS prior to the larini. It is a great car but I needed a change after having it 5 years.

Thanks for that Ascott. You don't mind me being really really cheeky and asking how much you sold it for? Also how long ago did you sell it?

I am struggling to see it being worth £27k. I am thinking that £25k is a bit more like it.

Anything you know that will need doing on the car in the short to medium term that you know of? It is good to know it was a forum members car and has been looked after. Anything you especially liked or disliked about the car?

Do you know if the car is actually a full LE spec? Seems to be missing the Auditorium 200? Xenon's?

Hi Dean

I traded the car in May, the car had only just had the large 4 year service, as far as I know the car shouldn't need anything doing to it.

The car was excellent, it sounded fantastic with the exhaust set up, but still quiet to cruise. The DMS upgrade wasn't all about power but it gave the car a more even spread of torque, but the exhaust was something else. To be honest I didn't take much notice if the car was or wasn't an LE but it does have xenon's.

The only thing I dislike about the car is the fact I don't have it anymore.

Thanks for that. Do you know if it had the Auditorium 200 audio setup or just the stock GS audio?

When I was looking for a GS dealers didn't want to budge. Best I got out of mine was a years rd tax. But hey I loved the car so bought it. And I noticed they all seemed to be up for sale in dealers longer than a privet sale. But they do sell
Also like to add from the dealer you get a warranty which has been used. You won't get that from a privet.

All the dealers were holding firm on GS prices earlier in the year just to get Matt to part with more of his money ;)

Well it seemed that way as prices seemed to move down a bit once he had bought, although that might have been devaluation by association :D

Ok, fair enough. Thanks. I am guessing it is easier to upgrade the audio in the GS as it has a DIN head unit rather than the 4200's proprietary sized unit?

I don't think audio is too much of an issue for me. The V8 soundtrack should suffice ;) The head unit in my Boxster packed up for 3 months before I replaced it and I never missed it. The XJ has a fabulous system in but I spend much more time in that car.

Is the tech cloth that bad....Seems like a good idea to me and looks nice in two tone. Much better in black/grey two tone than the Blue Anniversary one.

The black GS was for sale back in May privately for £22,900 when i started looking. Since then it has provisionally sold only for it to fall through for whatever reason at least once, maybe more times.

Around a month ago it was up for £22,500... Room to negotiate on the asking price in this case i think.

Thanks for the info. This would concern me a smidge. Why would a decent example not be snapped up at a decent price. Case of wrong time or place.....or wrong car full stop. I guess I won't know until I view but may view it after viewing a couple first to compare.
