Ouch. Think my clutch has just gone.

That doesn't work either!
It's like age - you go to bed at night - everything is fine - wake up and something doesn't work

That's what's worrying me, when I try and start it I'll have that look on my face, you know the one, like you're trying to put the pin back in a hand grenade

I feel guilty now, you've had woeful luck, but your stoic stance is refreshing to observe!!

It's a toy. So it's not the end of the world.
If it was a work car I'd have the right hump as I do a couple of thousand miles a month and can't be without it.
Someone on here said to me before I bought one "buy a Maserati knowing you might have a bill that runs into a couple of grand every now and again".
That's why I have a 'repair fund'. It has 4k in it. Anything other that, then I have to save for it.

Life goes on.

Good attitude to have, some people spend 5k on a holiday , a week later it's a distant memory

In my time on here I have met some lovely people and had some Great times but a few have disappeared due to buying the wrong car and having a horrendous time which is sad but the honest answer is you have to have the war chest to hand on occasion.

You should do what i do when you get it back ...dont drive it, and it cant go wrong . ha ha

The previous owner of my Ferrari tried that technique.

But move on 25 years when I get it, and does it work?

Does it Fxxx.

Been here, nearly every component of the CC selection mechanism has been changed on my Spyder but at least it was over 3 big bills rather than all at the same time. Hopefully I won't need to go there again but with it being a Maser there are no guarantees.

That's the only way you can look at it.
I had a big bill on my 360 when one of the engine ECU's pooped itself and I had the service and cambelts done at the same time it was a 6K ouch.
Still when the wife went she got less.

Saw you've got her back now after a bit of a saga.

What was the actual problem? Or what was replaced in the end?

At least it was a good time of year to have problems! Enjoy the dry roads!

I missed that, nice one Mark - at last. I hope that's the end of your woes and can enjoy it now
