lol-beggers cant be choosers - its cheap and fun and you can within reason land it just about anywhere!!!

That's nothing, the average Malaysian airline pilot can put a Boeing just about anywhere. Occasionally, even where it can't be found.

A rough rule of thumb for aircraft; take the number of engines it has, divide by 2 and if you end up with a fraction, don't get on it.

I'll remember that, but most small stuff I have flown including helicopters have only 1 power unit, so I guess that rule covers loads..??

Was thinking about a single engine plane today as a prop flew past, was thinking if they have limp mode or how often the engine cuts out etc, got to be reliable and not like the Masers eh? :)

Absolutely. To me, I am worth a lot more than the security afforded by a single donk. If it quits, gravity plays an increasingly important part of your immediate future as a member of the human race, as does chance and good fortune. I'll stick with twins, triples and fours be they on an aircraft, bug smasher or ekiplokter.

Back to the reversing beep volume, I could not find a small speaker under the rear parcel shelf but there was 2 wires with a white socket not connected to anything.
Maybe mine turned up missing in the Australian Compliance procedures, as they have to fit baby seat anchor points to the rear parcel shelf here as standard ( go figure ).
So I traced the sound I do get to the passenger fuse box area. I added some extra holes to the 2 already there to let more sound out. I think I have a win.
I took the opportunity to overcome another niggle. The fuse box cover would always wedge itself on the under dash carpet / padding.
For the first time I noticed the 2 nuts near the hinge with a slide capacity in the hinge to make adjustments.
I elongated the holes in the hinge, but that was still insufficient.
Having removed the metal cover I cut a centimeter from the top, filed the edges, re-painted satin black and we have a winner. No binding.
