It's not really proxi alignment. The car's memory of all keys is deleted, then the required ones are all added into one of the modules (can't recall which one). Proxi alignment is more about getting several modules talking to each other.

Forgive me. Indeed. My new NIT had the full align, being detected as alien and needed new configuration file from Italy. The key was done up at Meridien in Birmingham in 5 minutes. A £500 rip off but no different from getting a new key from any manufacturer who charge similar

Oh yes. The NIT will surely require a proxi-alignment!

With the key, mine took about 40 minutes. It's one of those things that if it goes right, happy days. If it goes wrong you end up with a customer's car that won't start. At all......

Oddly I was talking to a Bentley specialist the other day as the Bentley group was complaining about the cost of getting a new key. Fundamentally keys are meant to be hard to copy.

Things that are hard to copy are, by their very nature, expensive. They require specialist (i.e. expensive) tools, accuracy and expertise. If they were cheap and easy there wouldn't really be a whole load of point ;)

I did a case change on my old GTS with an eBay purchase, swapping all the internals and replacing the logo.
All worked perfectly and was about £8.
These do look like a quality bit of kit, but personally I can’t see the value at £400.

Hi All,
Thank you @Devonboy for your review, we are delighted you are happy with your key. We had to specially colour match the Maserati Blue to the OEM Fob as there are no colour codes from Maserati due to it being Blue (cheese) Plastic.

There appears to be some confusion with regards to costings although we thought our website was fairly clear we will review to make it clearer if possible.

The cost of the upgrade to the new style fob is £105.00 This is in the standard ABS Plastic with No Branding or refinishing.
For one which is colour matched to your car (or the OEM Maserati Blue) the cost is £285 in total.
If you would like the Maserati Trident on the rear it is an additional £95. This would bring the total key price to £380.00 Plus shipping.

@MarkMas Unless you wanted something more special the key will only cost £380 (including the nice logo), not any where near the £550 you mentioned, and the £380 is our standard price (not introductory). The OP price was only more due to us passing on our PayPal fees which are unfortunately rather steep, we accept card or BACS with no fees however. Hopefully the £380 is a little more palatable to you and the positive feedback we have so far justifies it also.
