Is that a small oil leak I can spot on the post lift?
There's nothing like forward planning...I had a ring beam raft engineered by the civils at the place I was working some 27 years ago, it was given a spec of 10 ton spot loading so I could put any machinery in any location without fear, likewise I built the loft independent of the roof so I could remove the loft if I wanted to (it was a plan to install a travelling crane at one time).
If you wanted to put one in to an unknown floor I would suggest placing a concrete beam in and adding a conduit for the post connections or going for a four post lift which needs a much lighter foundation.
