Am i right in thinking the newer steering wheel is flat bottomed too and a little less massive in circumference?

It is flat bottomed but the circumference I don't know about - it seems about the same to me so if it is smaller, I would say that it is marginal

Cool thanks, Tuesday can't come quick enough. I've also managed to keep it a secret from everyone including the wife! :)

I was gonna get a new C63s Coupe but decided i wanted something a little more rare, good job i did my neighbour 2 doors down just pulled up at the weekend in his C63s Coupe. That would have been a disaster!

I'll try to look tonight, I've got a facelift wheel in mine but still have the original. The newer wheel also has an ever so slightly flattened top.

You won't be able to stop driving it that's for sure. The amount of looks, nods and general appreciation for the car will amaze you. Enjoy it mate, it's a nice present :D

Cheers buddy, so dam excited and i have a nice 4-5 hour run back, hired a Jag XE to drive over. I'm interested to see what attention it draws. I had a Harley for my 35th and that also drew lots of positive attention and knods i guess some brands have just turned out that way!

It gets loads of good attention. Stunning looking car and sounds awesome. It's elegant and has presence. I got a lot more positive attention from my MC shift than The Ferrari.
In a Ferrari its as though people are actively trying not to look.

Yeah it's strange people's reactions to both so different

Hi mate,

No worries on the crash its fine!

In regards to gear box i was looking at the older Massers in those i believe the Auto (Stick) was a little smooth for people, and most liked the aggressive nature of the MC Shift (Buttons), when i test drove it was great but in traffic and small moves it was a bit of a task have to admit.

So in the one i just brought is an ZF auto (no clutch wear to worry about) and has been tweaked some what with the MC Auto Shift software. So effectively you get a smooth transmission for those days you just want to cruise and then in sport manual a quicker changing more sporty gear box. You do still have a stick.

I think my personal choice was in the 2013 and on models the ZF Auto is more than exciting enough so the MC Shifts do seem to be fairly rare in these newer models.

As you will see on all the discussions, the advice is DRIVE BOTH and make your personal choice.

Lovely example i spotted that yesterday, same interior as the one i'm picking up on Tuesday! :)

Well, I did the dirty deed and am now back in the club! Deposit paid, a couple of minor things to be done and I'll collect it some point next week!

Good to hear you're back in the fold. What did you go for? And how's the Huracan Spyder? Silly question really I suppose....

Question, is it possible to disable the beep when you lock unlock it? Really is quite loud!!

Obligatory pickup snaps!

The car's looking great, congratulations and I'm sure you loved that journey home - good chance to try out the AC with the heat of today!
No idea about the alarm beep, it hasn't bothered me as I live in the middle of nowhere - try the user manual, it's pretty comprehensive.

Have fun & what a great time of year to get your first Maserati

Cheers buddy managed to find a long underpass sport manual holy ****!!!

Also as I was cruising on motorways most of the way I was surprised at how good the fuel consumption went, 280 miles home and I'm sitting just above half a tank!!
