OK that's quite a list

So pads, tyres, clutch, drop links, cam cover gaskets, engine mounts.

Ouch

Once you read through it, I don't think that there's anything too alarming. Tyres, wheel refurb & brake pads are wear & tear are easy to address. The clutch was always going to be replaced and the service will take care of some of it too. The exhaust valves should be relatively simple and gasket leak isn't that bad & is very common. Also, the missing washer cover is common and easy as are the suspension bushes.
The engine mounts of course will need to be seen too but remember, these inspection reports can look terrifying at first. It wouldn't put me off provided you can agree on what they are prepared to do.

If anything, I am surprised that it was marketed with some of these items needing to be done - it smacks of a car being p/x'ed when it needed some money spending on it

Yeah i've read a few times but i guess it depends on what the dealer is gonna do, i'd be happy with the brakes, and tyre wear i'll be doing about 6k a year in it so maybe that will live for a while pass the initial outlay.

That list really is just pretty normal stuff, it wouldn't put me off, it's all easy cheap things, and if you are getting a new clutch, then that's a bonus :)

I'd be wanting about 6k off the price if the dealer isn't going to sort that lot.

While it may be 'normal' I'd hardly class it as cheap. While 6k might be pushing it, I'd guess that's what you're going to have to spend in short order.

Yeah it's not really put me off it's more if the dealer will fix most and if that still gives him enough to retail the car if not he said he would trade it!

He will put 2k towards it max I think.
It's advertised cheap as it is.
Liase with them, see what he will stretch to and then ask maybe RG or senior forum members for advice 'off air'.
If you push the dealer I reckon he will just trade it- less hassle

I think if you can get it for £32k with a warranty (which will exclude the known issues), spend £6k to get it sorted, that's an OK buy though not what I'd would call a screaming bargain
