continuing the mythology theme...

How and by whom was Hydra killed? This is not a one name answer. There are two slight variations to the myth, I will take either variation.

Learena Hydra is the complete name for anyone who needs some help :)

Hercules killed Hydra I believe. Problem was that when he cut the head off two would grow back so Iolaus helped and would seal up the wound so that nothing could grow back. Hercules then buried the head he cut off.

If you ask the average greek about who cut lernea's head, I believe only a 20% will know. So, congrats to anyone here who at least has a view of greek mythology. We are uneducated here and we should be ashamed.

I loved reading Greek Mythology, my favourite books when young. Unfortunately my memory has now grown old!
