Question of the day

Zag I think Mark is telling you off for suggesting Britannia when the original question was clear enough that it warranted a clarification.

Mark im joking. I was actually referring to you saying first trust no women yet. Generic woman citizen or not its still a picture of a woman / female.

Your answer is correct i have no doubt under the criteria of the question you set.

Catmans comment regarding multi part questions : We have had bonus points in addition to the main question. But they were just that a bonus. If somebody answered the main question the QM baton was handed over.

It keeps the thread flowing and the original idea was question of the day. If the question remained without a correct answer into the 2nd day then the answer was revealed and a new question set.

QM is always right. As is the person who started the thread !

Was / is there not a Scottish note with a suffragette on it? Can't remember seeing one so maybe a £50

I'm going to give this to zagatoes30. The Clydesdale Bank issued a £50 note featuring (famous) suffragist Dr Elsie Inglis (1864–1917) in 2009.

Now, don't forget, zag, what you need here is a perfectly-worded, unambiguous question with only one answer.

What is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything ?

and for a bonus point why ?

That should keep you all busy for the rest of eternity, thank you and goodnight :)

I don't see why

Well the answer is 42, but the problems is that we don't know exactly what the question is.
Or didn't until the Earth was created.
Then of course, that was destroyed to make way for a hyperspace bypass just before it was to reveal the ultimate question.
Later, pulling scrabble letters from a bag revealed the ultimate *question* to be 'What's six times seven'. Which is just as well as 'How many roads must a man walk down' just doesn't cut it.

So based on the clarification of QOD rules you are correct so the baton is passed over to you

There our books and thesis's on the bonus question which could be discussed for ever

Well I was going to ask what God's final message to his creation was, but from Andy and Newton's answers I suspect that would be over quite quickly

So here's one that may or may not take some time.

Many people are aware that area codes in US movies are 555, which doesn't in reality exist.

There is one area code in the US which had (at the last reckoning) a single number assigned. What is that area code?

Has the bat phone got its own area code ? :)

Presidential line got its own area code maybe ?

Bat phone might have, but do I need to clarify the question as 'non-fictional' phones? :D

No idea about the presidential line. The White House is listed as using the 202 code, but I rather doubt they advertise a direct line to the orange one's office! :)
