How about the Union Flag/Jack? It's got to be as old as those pesky Vikings, Danes and Swedes.
Not even close, chap. Only been around since the 1600s at the earliest.

I googled the union flag out of interest. The current version dates back to 1801. There was an earlier version in 1606.
Indeed so. I mean logically it cannot pre-date the unions. The 1600 version didn't include the Irish saltire, but was (I understand) the first union flag.
I am no expert, though

i have seen this before and i think you have put the question wrong, I think the answer is the word "language" and you are supposed to phrase the question in a clever and irritating way so this is the correct answer. Like in the English language what do these words have in common, or some thing.
That would make you a vexillologist if you were
Most flags have changed through the years. I'm still thinking European or Scandinavian country. Wars, unions and cival wars and probably royal marriages have all contributed to design changes.
Danish flag might be a good call Benny. I'm fairly sure its older than the Union flag. The current version is only a couple of hundred years old.
The original question went along the lines of:- Think of words ending in gry. Angry and hungry are two of them but there are only three words in " The English language" whats the third word ? Language then becomes the third word.

Benny touched on it but not an outright answer
Denmark
1219 was its first appearance
Which is what spkennyuk said Dem. Danish flag... That's the same place as Denmark
They both touched on it, Benny said it first amongst others and then spkenny mentioned it again, tough one, I'll let them both argue it out......over to you boys.....
