I think that will be down to how bad the night before was. I do know that Drew is making his own way there and there is now way we will all stay together. Plus I have to pick the missus up so I would just make your way there. Ill do a map now for the back road route missing all the traffic.

Here is the route from the Hilton Ageas Bowl to Goodwood. Now it avoids all the usual traffic but as you get close to the circuit they have a habit of shutting down the roads around Lavant and routing you back onto the bypass, DONT DO THIS GO NORTH AND TRY AND DROP DOWN ON GOODWOOD. I will check the roads now for closure:



For your stay navs, navigate to Goodwood Motor Circuit and put in FUNTINGTON as a waypoint and AVOID MOTORWAYS and this route will come up. You should go through a place called WICKHAM.

By all means - Goodwood car parks open at 7am... Gates open at 7:30

There's not even the remotest chance of us all leaving at the same time, and absolutely zero that we would arrive together!

I've checked the roads for closure - we need to take your route to Lavant, go through Lavant, up to the cross-roads with Kennel Hill, and drop back down to Goodwood from the north.

Road closures during Revival

In the continued interest of public safety several roads are subject to formal Road Closures Notices whilst the event is live. The roads that will be closed are as follows:

Claypit Lane from the Woodcote roundabout to the Rolls Royce roundabout
Madgwick Lane from the Hotel roundabout to the Rolls Royce roundabout
New Road from the Woodcote roundabout in to East Lavant and Fordwater Lane and the Junction ofPook Lane
New Road from the Woodcote roundabout east to the A285 Petworth Road
Kennel Hill from the Woodcote roundabout

It will, but the signs will push you onto the main roads from Chichester. This will be Bad.

Have a look on GoogleMaps just around the Goodwood Racetrack - it's basically the roads immediately north and east of the venue that have restrictions.

Ok, I have spoked to Goodwood and the only road that will be closed is the one I was hoping to sneak down with my local knowledge (RED - New Road from Lavant to the Woodcote Roundabout) so we have to follow the blue route and head North as Drew says then drop down onto Goodwood hill:
