The Cam cap has a pressure bearing inside.. its broken and resulted in running without oil as the metal has blocked the oil gallery for that bank..

Is that in every cam cap or is that the fix for the variatiors chatter?

The small oil gallery has broken near where the thumb is and further down the oil gallery u can see the broken piece lodged in the groove.. I think this cap feeds oil to the camshaft and the markings on urs could be related to the cap failing.. it’s worth taking a look at the cam cap on urs if it’s not already checked..

Thankfully you have found the dislodged part, hope the remaining parts are recoverable.
