That looks horrible! I've occasionally wondered what a 3/4 sized front plate would look like, as it would be more in line with italian sizing, but I think it might look a bit "aftermarket".

It just doesn't look right Nig...With you on that...The full front on pic shows just how bad it looks...

No it is all wrong. Anyway it's a simple fix so no need to detract from what might be a great car to buy.

Yes could well be...My comments are purely on the number plate not the car....and just my opinion....

I have a short plate on my car front and back as my reg number is a 2x2. Looks much better on the front as fits the template behind it perfectly.

Don't like the front plate in the ad - square looks fine on the back of my Disco3 but not on the Maser - much throw the cd out!!!!

I've a 3/4 plate with my number I had on the front of my Elise, might pop it on and see what it looks like!

I used to have smaller plates on the GS - I like the front, but prefer a longer plate on the rear. I had these plates made up probably 4 years ago when they were available with the Mas Trident...struggling to get a replacements made up now. I really want a rear, full size, with just the trident - anyone got any ideas?

Note, images might be slighty doctored, but you get the idea.

I had a smaller front plate made for my 3200 as I didn't like the standard size. Much better IMO:

I'd just thought of doing the same for the front, ie, slightly smaller, closer to the mounting plate at the front.
Is it legal though? Anyone know?

Thanks TMH. No, they're not legal being that size. Thats really part of the reason I want a fuller length on the rear - I would think most officers would let the fronts slide, so long as the rears are legal. Graphics wise, I've looked at loads of different sites to get the trident to match the front. Its basically just a smalll trident at the bottom of the plate, in the centre. I like it. I have the rears to match but they're shorter than I now want....trouble is, the person who did my plates originally now doesnt seem to have the Maserati logo on their site :(

Never pulled for mine. I think there's less chance with the plate changed on the front than the rear. I also kept the correct font and have no mis-spaced or badly represented digits or letters, so less likely. I'm going to put a smaller plate on the front of my Alfa GT as I think it will also look better.

Sorry, I stand corrected. They do, but they no longer do 3D font, which is totally legal but for some reason isnt an option!

I appear to have some sort of disorder. I've just bought new plates for my car.

Do I need them? No.
Will it make any difference what so ever? No.
But do I want them? Yes.

It an early Christmas present to myself :)
