While I'm in the mood for selling cars (they create space for new cars!) I thought I'd post this here to see if there's any interest

GG8hx7Pl.jpg

1998 Audi 2.6 V6 cabriolet, 5 speed manual
Audi cricket green pearl metallic - only used in the last 6 months of production and very rare
101,000 miles, done less than 3,000 in the last 3 years and maybe 500 in my ownership. Loads of old MOTs to verify mileage
Partial history, plus loads of receipts for work/parts
12 months MOT
Full leather interior, no rips or cracks
Electric hood in full working order
17" 'bolero' wheels which are rare and sought after
4 matching Yokohama tyres with decent tread
I carried out a full service a year ago and will give the car another oil and filter change before sale
DAB bluetooth head unit and upgraded speakers, electric aerial
Electric windows, central locking, alarm etc.
Brand new battery

In the last couple of years it's had the cambelt changed, a new cat, new thermostat, valley gasket, gearbox oil change and power steering pump replaced. The rear plastic window was also replaced with a genuine Audi part. I gave the car a full service last year and will carry out another oil and filter change before sale. The car drives really well, the very smooth V6 up front wafts you along effortlessly; it uses and drips no oil. I have it insured with a classic policy that costs less than £150 per year fully comp.

Simple reason for sale - I bought her for Mrs MAF to use and she only likes driving autos, so never uses it. Shame really!

I'm asking £1,995 - a huge amount of car for the money

Not tempted to get some bunting across the front of your drive are you, MAF? And a three-quarter length camel hair coat.

Looks like a lovely car, that. And like you say, an awful lot of car for the money.

My problem is that I'm great at buying cars, but never get around to selling them! My neighbours think I'm a car dealer as I have 5 cars on the drive and another out on the road. If the local planners would allow me to build the garage I want things would be so much easier!

All that does is mean that you will then have n+x cars where n is the current number you have and x is the number of cars the garage will take.

Cracking buy for someone BTW.

You sound like my wife, BB! You're entirely correct of course!

Arthur Daley and Minder what an image.
Best of luck with the sale and a nice motor for someone this summer.

I'm looking for a 1977 white 2 litre Capri on an R plate.

Nice...

I'd much rather have the X-pack Escort behind it.

I was once told that Terry McCann was originally going to be driving that Escort in the series. The producers then decided that Terry was too much of a loser to be driving such a cool car, hence the crappy Mk2 Capri he drove in the first series.

Good luck with the sale but the engine bay lets it down, I swear if I squint I can see a spec of dirt
