Congratulations!
I handed my keys to G/F eariler as I am working late. My cycle home will be nice, but rather I was piloting a V8. Now feel quite envious.

Can't wait!!!
Getting the train from aberdeen to Edinburgh first thing in the morning!! I honestly can't remember when I was last this excited! The sheer passion and joy that these cars can create is something totally unexplainable.
Will post plenty of photos tomorrow :)

You'll be up before daybreak, no doubt! I was like a child at Christmas before I collected mine. Even after three years I'm missing it while it's up at Autoshield having some work done. The buzz, it seems, doesn't fade.

Have a great day tomorrow.

Enjoy, I got up @ 4am to get the train up to Marios @ Autoshield to collect my car after the exhaust mods. I never get excited these days but there was certainly a smidge of excitement that morning. They do get under your skin more than any car I have owned to date ;)

Well I have had a few days to get to know the car and a glorious 500 miles done so far.

So far it has been an absolute joy with no issues or niggles at all. Really looking forward to the euro road trip this year as this car is absolutely prefect for it. I am so impressed with how much of a split personalty this car has. In cruise control with sports mode off its honestly as quiet and comfortable as my c class Merc but press the sports button and everything changes!

On the run back from Edinburgh to Aberdeen I was surprised to see an average of 23.4mpg! That was lots of time spent in cruise control at 75 but good to see that on longer runs it can get more sensible mpg readings. Since I have had it in Aberdeen and been running around town, that mpg is about mid teens! The joys :)
Today I changed down from 3rd to 2nd with a large bus either side of me and it honestly sounded like a bomb went off, totally addictive!

From what I have experienced so far the best way to get rapid gear changes in MC shift mode is to just keep the pedal to the metal, absolutely floored, and change up, it absolutely bangs it into the next gear.

Really looking forward to getting to know this car more. Im not sure how long I'm going to keep it for, as I really just bought it for the road trip this July with the intention of selling it again in August, but we will wait and see, she might be a keeper!

Yes, I know that feeling, rockits! Tomorrow I'll be up at 5 to get the train to Manchester to collect mine after a new clutch (and associated gubbins), new gaskets in leaky places and a new parking sensor at the back. And I can't wait! Looking forward to a 250 mile run south and to seeing the difference that a new clutch makes. Maybe I should take the long way home, give me time to enjoy it properly.

Craig - I'm not surprised you're pondering the possibility of the GTS being a keeper. Personally I just can't think of what would serve my needs better. And as for the noise.. This car delivers on every level. It's ace!

Feel free to call in for a coffee on your way home Adam, if you wish.

Nice to hear the appreciation from all. I know my 42 years on this planet working hard, learning, the desire to be better, to be the best have assisted in me making a decision to embrace that Maserati feeling. It is not perfect but that is the whole point & the reason it is perfect to me if you catch my drift. I have had better cars that haven't been anywhere near as good to own or live with. What a joy!
Glad I'm in good company with you guys as we have all made a decision that has no parallel in my book. The rest of the world are seriously missing out ;)
