Morning all.

Busy day of work stuff today, but just out in a minute to get 4 new tyres fitted to the Merc.
I've bought cars for less than what they cost!

Oh well. Better than suffering a blowout due to the two bulges on a front and rear and a chinese ditch finder on the other front.

Have a good one all.

Had an update from the dealer this morning on the Jaguar... There has been. Recall in the seal around the door on a number of cars that sounds like haven't been delivered....they are letting in water and as it hasn't been delivered yet they must fix under warranty first. Jaguar will not let them release until it has been done.....sounds like an easy one so hopefully get it early next week .... NO ...... Jaguar do not have a fix and as soon as they do they will let me know.... Wish I had gone for the BMW now......

Greetings from Munich airport en route to Graz for the Austrian GP. My liver has only just recovered from Le Mans.

Very sorry to hear that Andy - not been a smooth ride has it? :(

Bad news #1: Back from visiting UN in hospital this morning, where his condition has on the one hand improved, with the pneumonia responding to treatment, but on the other they've discovered his artificial heart valve appears to be failing. It has been happily ticking along for more than 15 years, but there's too much pressure in the chambers now. I suspect there will be an immaculate Jag XJ up for sale in the near future; can't see them allowing him to keep his licence at 72 with increasing heart problems. Shame, as he's collected a lot of points on it over the years! :D

Bad news #2: Travis Perkins dumped 3 tons of sand in bulk bags infront of my access to the farmhouse while I was out. The delivery was supposed to be on Monday.... Won't be using them again, as that's just wilfully peevish, obviously blocking the drive. It's not like we are short of land for them to have used - on calling them they've just claimed they will only ever do kerb-side delivery, in theory they say the driver shouldn't have come down the private road, and no they won't come back to move them. I've moved half of it now by hand, and need to shift the other half when I've had a bite to eat.

A good friend of mine has had his heart valve in for 15 years and his is failing as well. He's 78.
He wants to get another fitted.

With regards to Travis Perkins, I didn't think they were allowed to drop without a signature.
When we had our garden done recently they guy dropping off the sand came back as he'd forgotten to get me to sign for it.
Ask to see the signature to confirm delivery!

Bad news #3: Gordon Murray has died. No, not that one.... The creator of Trumptonshire has died aged 95 - lived not far outside Stamford, near where I used to live.

Morning all. Friday indeed and WFH. Two very excited cats. They appear to know when I'm working from home (and therefore when they can spend the day outside) and when I'm not. Crazy animals.
First conference call with Australia at 0600. Have a great day, all

Morning all. Hope the call was worth it Chris. WFH too then picking up a coughing and poorly nipper so no camping this weekend. Spend a few minutes remembering the brave, and not forgetting those who sent so many for so little.
