Half-work, half-play today. Traveling to Stockholm for work and bringing Mrs Crud with me. Dinner at one of my favourite restaurants tonight (and another tomorrow) with a day of hard graft in between. Not so much for Mrs C, who I expect to be mostly relaxing and strolling.

Have a good day, everyone.

Morning everyone!
Well, I'm pleased to report I made it home yesterday. Once again I had to call the assistance company (IMA Europe, via Adrian Flux's "flux rescue") to tell them to sort 1) a taxi once I dropped off the hire car in Calais to get me to the port, and 2) organise a hire car for me in Dover. Had I not told them to do those, I'd probably still be stranded in Calais (no, I'd have sorted it off my own bat).
In the end, I still ended up stranded at the Avis hire place in Calais and the rescue people ordered me a cab for 20mins after pedestrian check-in would close. With our luggage, my friend an I legged it on foot and made it to check out-of-breath and sweating "like a gibbon at a monkey show" (as my friend put it), begged passage and they held the bus to the boat for us. I now have a 1.0 ecoboost fiesta on my drive until tomorrow evening as a hire car, and I rather like it. Thanks to today being bank holiday, I get the car for 2 days meaning that I can use it for business down to Brighton.
So, my day today will involve a drive down to Brighton to stay with a friend. I'm sure that, before that, I'm going to take a Maser for a spin because I miss her.

Finally I can say I have moved in. All because:

I finally have the cars in a garage.

Whilst it does not look tight now they are in the garage. But getting them in was quite tight as the back alley is narrow.

I will have to remove some garage shelving as it is not helping matters.

Back from a cracking day on track, marred only by a lack of gears first thing (1st and 2nd only don't make for a fast lap). Gave the car a good talking to back in the pits, and strangely they reappeared and stayed available all day. Very busy due to being a Bank Holiday, but as predicted many of them were kn0bs who destroyed their cars (tyres/brakes/both) early on, ending up with just 9 running for the last couple of hours in perfect sunshine. Excellent :)

Let a few kids sit in the car too, whilst their parents took photos. Big grins and very excited boys - obviously made their day to sit in a race car. A slightly older one spent ages trying to work out how the suspension worked, once I'd removed the bodywork. Great to see kids with a real interest in actual engineering, rather than just the PlayStation.

Bet your over the moon to have a garage Ho-Yin? Looks very nice if a little snug....shall we say cosy. Allows the Noble to become intimate with the GT!

Might need to extend the garage over time to allow some growth in the garage ;)

Where do you move to in the end? Move go OK?
