Cheers guys. The blows keep coming; the dog, Bandit, we bought to get us through the aftermath of Ryan's passing has just been diagnosed with epilepsy and she will require medication every 12 hours for the rest of her life. They include a mild sedative and it really is a wrench watching her staggering around not knowing what is happening to her. Life can be an ocean going b4stard and frequently is. Still, it goes on because there isn't really a viable alternative.

So sorry to hear that Ben. I can't even imagine what it must feel like to go through anything like that. I am the strongest person I know & I think I would find it impossible not to fall to pieces if something happened to our kids.

Best wishes & our thoughts to you all. You do wonder why don't you? Why does it happen? I don't understand it all.

Be tough mate & enjoy every day. Helps us to take stock sometimes & stop to think. What if tomorrow never came.

Morning guys. An early call from Bandit this morning because the meds are screwing her up. And how. What a mess, everywhere. Still, it's not her fault so we'll just have to deal with it. Don't much feel like sleeping now and I certainly hope the day improves.

Morning,

Back in the office today. You never know I may even have some work to do. That said if job #2 can't find me anything but are paying me then it gives me time to think about job #1.

Sorry to hear about Bandit Benny. Not much you can do but the best for her.

Take care all

Morning everyone!
What crazy hail yesterday evening? I'm very pleased I wasn't late home from work on my bike as that could have been painful!

You know, Ben, even when things are shite you have a way with words which seldom fails to raise a smile, even a tortured and slightly guilty one!

Morning, all. Crappy sleep last night but it's sunny and bright out in the exotic east, which is nice. It can warm up but otherwise stay like this if it wants and I won't complain. Trying to trudge through some admin stuff and stay on top of things. Have a lot going on work-wise in the coming weeks, which is probably good.

Thanks guys, your kind words, as always, are much appreciated. Well, when Bandit was struggling to stand up we decided something is decidedly wrong. On checking the dosage of the phenol barbitone we are giving her it would appear that, due to a clerical error, she is getting twice as much as she should be. Hopefully, from later today, when her levels drop she should be feeling a lot less 'bombed out'. Even the vets are f*cking us up! Nil carborundum illegitimi.

Morning all, dog troubles here too, Pippin the older one has severe pain but we cannot find the cause, he is just yelping every time he moves, hoping it is not his back.

Have fun all...

Poor dogs! Anyone who says it's a dog's life has presumably just shat themselves and is suffering from pain.

Though it does make me think... has Damo been under the care of a vet? The symptoms are not dissimilar.

Must be a bad week for dogs, Murphy, the pub dog at my local got the bullet on Monday.

Mind your for a scrap hoovering chocolate Fat Lab who was never walked, he did 14 years which is astonishing given his environment!

Morning all. Not a great start to the day, woken up by a milkman (yes we have them, although not us) at 5am playing Drum and Bass very loudly! Not impressed as I couldn't get back to sleep, apart from 5 minutes before my alarm went off!
Then when shaving my barnet I managed to slice off an old scar from my mis-spent youth so I looked like an extra in Saving Private Ryan!

Hopefully the blood flow will have stopped by the time I have an important meeting later this morning.

Have a good one all.

Got an emergency appointment at the vets and carried the hound to the car and let him lift his leg in the car park at the vets, he then performed the miracle recovery that only a spaniel can do on seeing where he was; he almost pulled it off too but the vet soon saw past him and suspects it is ligaments in his knee! As he is too tensed up they will want to knock him out to properly assess it later if it persists!

Now trying to get my day back on track...
