I suspect that the only driving they do is the bit we see on the TV with some poor sap who brings the car/truck to the next location. The presenters are most likely helicopter'd in from the Hotel or driven in a Range Rover after each night in decent accommodation. I also suspect that the vehicles are checked out to stop someone being killed and the BBC facing corporate manslaughter charges.

the thing with Top Gear is we know some of the things they get up to are faked and how many times have they got into trouble IE Stig shooting, Tesla roadster, classic cars, trees, fields even the dead cow. its an entertainment show that caters for more than just us guys and girls that like cars.

I doubt there are many beautiful hotels in the Shan area. 60 year civil wars tend to limit tourism especially as there is, apparently, no electrickery, mobile signals or creature comforts. Looking at Clarkson, I also doubt he was having an unbroken 8 hours a night in a decent bed; he looked as rough as a badgers knackersack.

....none of which apply in deepest Burma.....don't kid yourself Peter...........not much difference in the sweat shops where 90% of UK clothing made, wouldn't be allowed in UK 9criminal offence)....lots of blind eyes being turned to keep us arrogant westerners in the style we are accustomed too.................10000 years a slave....it aint gone away you know
