With all mods declared its pretty reasonable i would say 390 plus some extras like european brake down cover, agreed value, 10k miles, go to work use, and i can buy it back after accident and something else comes up to 580

that's bloomin cheap :thumb3:

Yes, probably over 35k and bare in mind its without any labour , i've blended the arches and lights, modified the bonet and front, took the body of and back on, installed new heat shields, prepared the body up to the paint stage, stripped the chassis and modified it slightly as well as wishbones and reassembled with all new parts (bushes, brake and fuel lines etc.) modified track rods. Basically everything you can do without specialist equipment like for example mill or a CNC etc. .Things i did have to pay for was chassis blasting and coating, respray, retrim, ECU connection and mapping, exhaust, adaptor plate with provision for oil pump and channels for gearbox cooling ( i've helped to design it), input shaft (mine design) +the car itself

Anyone tried this DMS remap? A 10% increase in power is pretty reasonable.

uhhh, given that they couldn't even be bothered to make the graph mathematically correct (HP & Torque cross in the wrong place!) I'd steer waaaayyy clear of that tune, the company that makes it, and anyone who sells it!

and good lord, Giorgio, that thing is AAAAWWWWESOME!

ps. anyone use tapatalk? images don't show up for me -- had to see the TVR in all its glory in web view...

Interested in the 4.7 engine transplant. Have pipe dream of building Ultima GTR with same engine.
Always imagined the work to integrate electronics would be huge, but sounds like a custom ECU worked okay.
Is the gearbox integration something you can share?

Hi, I've used adaptor plate between the Maserati bell housing and TR6060 gearbox. On side is a copy of the back of the bell housing from that gearbox and the other side is a copy of the back of Maserati bell housing if that makes sense. Looks Good to me.
Totally agree that more engines will be available as subframes and suspension repairs get more expensive relative to the value of the car.
Could be some more interesting projects coming along.

Wow - that is a a beautiful piece of work. Well done, great work.
Looks machined from solid billet. Was it scanned and loaded or drawn? This is the Rosetta Stone for engine transplantation. The Maserati V8 will physically fit in many cars but the gearbox interface is the key.

Yes it was scanned, the material is aviation grade aluminium.

There's at least one Ultima build with 4.2 version of that engine that I know of. I don't know how far that project is advanced now though. I've had a short conversation about it on PH some time ago.
