Unleashing more power of 4.7 engine ?

Hi all,
I don't know how relevant this will be to your cars but I have fitted 4.7 engine from GT auto to my TVR Cerbera. The engine is standard and the only difference to your cars is no maf sensor, throttle body is 90mm instead of 84mm and bespoke exhaust system including manifolds ( which are not equal length due to lack of space in TVR)
Cr makes on dyno 467.7 BHP.
Thanks
Rafal

Interesting... any videos of it on the move?

And what's the performance like compared to standard?

Some have had DMS remaps, but found no difference to standard despite the claimed power gains... However the TVR will be much lighter and may be a totaly different beast.

I hate the think of the problems you may have encountered along the way esp ECU and errors.

Hi,
I can't really compare the performance to standard TVR because I've bought the car as a non runner purely for this project. The only thing I can say is that after the first rolling road visit car was set at 415 bhp due to clutch slipping above that power, so the difference now is very noticeable like night and day. If I could squeeze equal length manifolds I reckon I could have something like 3-5% more power than now. Bare in mind my car weight is less then 1200kg.
As for ECU problems and errors, there was none as I'm using stand alone ECU and that was the least of my problems. The biggest was to mate that engine to a manual gearbox. BTW engine comes from 2009 GT AUTO.
Here is the video:
the previous videos are with different exhaust system

Hi,
Gearbox: 6 speed Tremec TR6060 from 2014 Camaro ZL .
ECU : EMU BLACK by Ecumaster https://www.ecumaster.com/products/emu-black/
And yes the car is pretty quick and there is no ABS, ASR or anything whatsoever to help you if you are to ******* the loud pedal, just the other two pedals and steering wheel + your skills.
I've also did full body off restoration including all nuts and bolts, chassis sand blasted, hot zinc sprayed and powder coated, new brake lines through out + upgraded calipers, discs and pads (now 380mm. and 6 pots at the front) new PTF braided fuel lines, bosh 044 fuel pump, re-designed front suspension widened by 50mm , 10x20 front 11x20 rear wheels, extended wheel arches, coil over suspension , fully respraye and retrimmed, and a few more changes.

Respect... that's one good looking car you have created and done properly.

I have seen posts and photos of some who have tried to fix up a sad Maserati and made a right mess doing it on the cheep...your work put them to shame.

Any photos of the engine bay?

Oh and I know so far we have provided zero help on the power question.

Cracking job there Giorgio. Proper TVR colour too. Must be so much better than a RV8 or Speed Six. That Ferrari F136 engine is a peach. Such a smooth revvy powerplant. Must be epic quick and rapidly responsive with over half a ton less weight.

How was the fit in the engine bay?

Puts my little Chim to shame

That's great.
No reason why you can't put the engine/manual trans in anything if it can be made to fit!
How about into the 3200 for example ...

When you look at how much some of these custom build Chevy motor TVR's can be I suspect the build cost on this Cerb is pretty reasonable.

With all mods declared its pretty reasonable i would say 390 plus some extras like european brake down cover, agreed value, 10k miles, go to work use, and i can buy it back after accident and something else comes up to 580
