What can I expect next?

Driving into the garage yesterday afternoon and and pulled on the stalk to dip the headlights to see how close I was to the wall, no lights! Switched on the lights as an automated response, still nothing, car running fine, parked, stopped the car turned it off got out and walked away.
As I was walking away it dawned on me that's not normal (it was a Friday afternoon after a busy week). So I went back to the car and tried to start it, turned over but wouldn't fire, twice, I waited a bit longer then 3rd time started, a warm start and then everything fine?

What can I expect next? Just write it off to Italian engineering or a portent of a ride home with the RAC.

I've had it on a rare odd occasion, usually after refueling, starts but initially doesn't like to idle unless you blip it and then it will idle happily as usual.

This is the reason apparently.

"We have had a few gransports and QP's in recent for not starting very well when hot mainly. Filling the vehicle with fuel acually aggrevates the problem enormously.

After much searching around the fuel system we have found that the fuel vapour valve gets stuck open, causing this issue. Its extremely easy to test and minimal effort to replace. The cause is the fuel vapour valve gets cover in stick fuel vapour and eventually it just gets stuck open. Do not be fooled into thinking it is ok just because you feel it work, it clicks when being operated.

It is located on the N/S inner wing under the bonnet on both vehicles."
