Tax Partner at one of the "Big 4" global firms. Don't do so much tax these days, spend more time building relationships, particularly with entrepreneurs many of whom can be inspirational and fun to work with.

Manage a team of engineers and tech support for an industrial refrigeration/air con company in Southampton. An interesting career with a huge amount going on at the moment including friction free compressors (single moving part that floats on a magnetic field instead of traditional bearings) and the EU moving away from refrigerants (supposedly) causing global warming.

I own an auto parts company supplying car accessories and parts through brick and mortar stores and the internet. The internet now accounts for 60% of our total sales.

What sort of parts and accessories, Phil? Forum discount....???!!

My company supply aftermarket parts and accessories by all the leading manufacturers. We also supply all the leading brands of accessories. I would happily give a discount to any forum member. We do not supply "car manufacturer specific" parts though so for example we would not supply a Maserati spark plug but an NGK one.

Nice to know Phil and thanks for the kind offer..!! If someone wanted to order something from you, would they contact you directly via the forum, or do we have to go through a web site and quote a ref..!!

I run/manage construction sites for a small building and refurbishment company based in London.
We prefer commercial properties but will do high end residential, we avoid private clients unless the contract is set up with a professional team.
Contract values of anything up to £2 million, we can offer design and build or traditional contracts.

Run a Controls Engineering Consultancy for large scale automation projects, nowadays typically online warehouses, car plants or airports, but we have worked on projects as diverse as oil rigs, breweries, pharmaceuticals and defence work. Also still produce control systems for supercooled superconducting magnets usually installed in holes in the ground, like the stuff in the LHC at Cern.

I'm a lawyer for a very large oil and gas company. Prior to that I was in a law firm where the hours at times were relentless!
