Only seen a couple of their projects that have been a real attempt to get a car back to a decent condition...sadly the vast majority have been tarted up for sale and who knows what those cars looked like a year or so later.

until I see what was done and how I will try and keep an open mind...but given how much it can cost to bring one of these fine cars back to a condition one would be proud of...I expect it will be a challange to convince me.

It's not been aired yet. Car is still for sale....

Mike Roberts worked on it about 6 weeks ago.

I'd be really very surprised if the TV schedules were actually dependant on someone buying the car, mate....

My friend sold his car to Sweden recently. It was a Skyline GTR (old shape). Seems they do a roaring trade in *** fast metal. The guys who bought it came over and bought 4 cars in one trip. All fast Japs.

Reminds me of the Terry Tibbs 3200 sketch!

Why you selling?

I'm going to Sweden?

So Take it with you?

IT's right hand drive...

So drive on the wrong side of the road...

Now on eBay.
It will be aired during the upcoming series. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes for £1K less than asking.

So the new series of Wheeler Dealer kicked off last night, how I've missed the lovable rogue Mike

I spent a few years working in TV and when you come back with a new series, you always want to make a big splash with the first episode, it's great for advance publicity to make a real appointment to view. So it was great to see them working on a £3k Fiesta XR2, it's a Porsche 993 next week - surely they scheduled these the wrong way round?

Anyway, the 3200 is set for episode 6 on 21st April & is still for sale at £12,995. Maybe the air date will move back if the car remains unsold as we approach 21/04?

Strange how cars of your youth become "classics", now deemed worthy of restoration......never a Ford fan fullstop........didn't watch it

For me the Mk2 was the better XR2 but mainly because I grew up round them and they were much more common.

Yep had a mk1 GTi as my first car. Love it and would still like a mint Campaign model now if the right one came along.
