Why is it reading everyone else's job seem so much more interesting?

My job is s--t, but I have myself to blame as left school at 14 to work on building sites. Seemed like a good idea in 1984. Froze my tits off today rendering the front of a house. But the pay is ok.

One thing most of us have in common in that we're fortunate enough to own such lovely cars.

Even if it means going to a job we no longer love, in order to run our 4 wheeled ladies.

I live Newtownards, near Belfast nearly always working in the motor trade..
Started with a year on fishing trawlers based in Kilkeel as i couldnt get a "motor" job but i knew how to fish..
Then got into Charles Hurst Group working through Rover, Renault then Citroen parts becoming manager there.. Grass seemed greener at local peugeot dealer but returned to Hursts in Renault sales as it really wasnt!! Moved on again after a year and a half as expecting first/only child, and cars sales = no life outside work...
Still working now for Karkraft as manager 11 years later.. Motor factor and main distributor for range of car paints, valeo, sofima filters, monroe etc etc plus (not my dept) but lots of welding materials throught uk..mostly american torch tip...

Bit of a health scare in november which hopefully now sorted and managed to get my CC just before Christmas..

Used to rally in early 90's ..samba, renault 5 gt then clio... Did irish championship in 92/93 including Manx Rally in 92
Then it got too expensive!!

We have 2 holiday houses in areas we love(retirement planning)..which we rent out

http://www.homeaway.co.uk/p408185 in west Donegal

And

http://www.homeaway.co.uk/p491888 in northern Tuscany..a lovely area called Lunigiana.. Not touristy and we can go skiing there in winter but its just over 1/2 hour from the beach in summer... Also down the coast is the posh Forte dei Marmi... Friday night is car spotting night when all the ferraris, lambos, mclarens come out to pose/play...
