NiCe isn’t it, white face and it’d be perfect
Here’s mine.
$65, Hong Kong Stanley Market.....got into a real nasty haggle situation over it. Nearly caused a riot between the locals and the Chinese bloke selling it. Think it’s calmed down now tho

I guess it would be nice to have a stand that you could put the watch on and the face was the right way up and facing you, so you could... well... tell the time! This would not be that hard folks, I may get bored in the garage and have a go at this, what d oyou think Alumnium or wood? Wood would be easier to hand make, while aluminium would be better if we were making a few.

I am wondering if this is really worth the effort
just cut the wires off?
Seems like there are many nice watch stands out there?
Not made of old Maserati pistons i guess.

A chap (ess? "he has a woman's hand") on Gumtree has a piston on his desk. Maybe a touch clumsy?
Whereas, the valves he's selling have an elegance - whether they could be incorporated???

problem is just one of these would not stay up with the weight of a watch on it, so you would need either more than one valve or a base to keep it upright.

Was thinking something along the lines of the first picture of the thread using the valve as the pillar.
The head might look nice mounted on a wooden base with some form of leather watch support. However,

Exactly - just buy one.

I think this is exactly what the OP was looking for

Kind of like the first one posted, nice sleek design. Just don’t need any of the iPhone charging stuff that goes with it.

And yeah I know just ignore it blah blah.
