What are the X-pipe options that exist out there? I know of Larini so will start with this:

1) Larini - price £?

I have the SM x-pipe with straight through rears and the sound is epic...though not quite as epic as Bennys (Ian's)

Watch this video through headphones though it does not do it true justice

Do any if you mention exhaust mods to the ins Co's?
£200 is very tempting here too

I declared my X-pipe and it didnt effect the premium. I stressed that I did it for the sound and not as a performance improvement.

OK. So I have a set of Marios straight throughs and the sound is lovely. My son has been nagging me to change the x-pipe as well....having heard Petbri's yesterday at Haynes, which has this set up, I'm sold.......where do I get a SM X-pipe from?

Hi JonH...the middle section is actually a Larini H pipe.....it has 4200 cut into it, think they cost around £500 new

Yes, my Grey 2006 had it, silenced secondary cat pipes, Larini H pipe, Larini valved rear boxes:

Initially I had straight through cat pipes but after a week of laughing every time I planted my right foot, the noise got annoying so had a free flow silencer cut in by Larini, as in the video above.

Ah, makes sense now. Having heard the x-pipes with straight throughs on posted videos it is a tad harsh for me(await critical comments etc) and very different From what I heard at the w/e.

The straight throughs from Marios can be made two ways;

1) With perforated tubing inside the tail pipes with wadding between the perforated inner and solid outer. This acts like a simple silencer which is surprisingly effective.
2) With solid tubing inside the tail pipes which is an unsilenced straight through.

An unsilenced X-pipe with option 1 (above) would be a practical everyday set up whereas an unsilenced X-pipe with option 2 (above) is probably too loud for some. However, this is what we fitted to Tinmans 4200 and he is very happy with his. So there are options for virtually any type of sound level required.

I am quite tempted by the Larini H-pipe option, slightly toned down version of the Daddy (X-pipe)....may compliment the de cat and Larini rears.... :mad:
