It's a yes from me too. After seeing Blondies car and of course MAF and David's GS's, I think the yellow cars look stunning, but be prepared for attention.
I guess some models work suit some colours better than others, but Lambos in particular seem to suit yellow rather nicely
Thank you T, I adore both my yellow GT and Lambo. And I've certainly never been called cowardly. Quite the opposite haha.
I agree Bob. It's not for me but it will be for another. It's bound to make resale a little more difficult as this thread proves just by it's existence. However, if that's not an issue then each to their own and all that.
Merrian's car looks fantastic but for me the GC is more suited to subtle and classic colour schemes.
Hi Woody,
There are pictures on this thread.

Cheers.
Your opinion and of course you are entitled to it. I disagree, but then I own a yellow GS. Your comparison of a chavvy Corsa and a QP and their likely owners is pointless - I'd be amazed to find anyone who didn't think the owner of a Maserati (even a yellow one, God forbid!) was more 'well-heeled' than the owner of a Corsa, modified or not. I'm not a particular fan of yellow cars or anything else yellow, but when I saw my car for sale I fell in love with it because of the colour. I couldn't care less what my car says about me to people I don't know. Perhaps you concern yourself more with the opinions of others, whether they matter or not. I didn't buy my yellow car for the benefit of anyone else but me, but have only ever had compliments (about the car, not me).Now that I have seen it - it confirms my thoughts. Yellow has just cost you about 3-5k loss of resale value, atleast.
Most definitely NOT a Maserati colour (Ferrari yes and Lambo yes).
I see it this way:
MOST people (not all) agree with the adage "your car says a lot about you". I am not talking about Joe/Joanne average who is restricted to picking from a bunch of mass produced junk simply because of their jobs or their income. I believe a minority pick ordinary cars because they simply couldn't care less about their mode of transport. BUT even these people appreciate "art".
Now when one enters the Art arena then this adage takes root.
Now picture this - you are walking down the high street in Chipping Sodbury - a busy little place, especially on Satruday mid morning and a Vauxhall Corsa with black windows, flared arches, lowered, chrome wheels and a very loud exhaust parks in the line of cars, just in front of you. I bet you have already assessed that character before he or she gets out - and it won't be a monastic nun!!!
Further down the road, a Dark metallic blue with beige and walnut interior Quattroporte burbles up and slips into another slot just ahead. You know that guy will be "XYZ" as he steps out (I'll go as far as to say it will be a he - even!). You will almost certainly have an elevated view of this person - perhaps: successful, smart, quietly confident, understated dress etc.
Finally at the junction next to the bank, near Boots, a bright yellow GC slips into the only remaining car slot. Black wheels/windows. Who would you 'expect' to climb out of this 'vision of loveliness'?
'Nuff said..........................spray it white!
Good heavens. LOL!I think this is my fav one ...
Good heavens. LOL!
Underlines, to me, my point. That looks sublime in yellow.

Thanks for all the replies!!! I think it's growing on me! But quite right it's all about the deal,,,they have provisionally offered me £45000 for my 57 Bentley gtc (in black!!) if the deal was more in my favour I think I could be swayed... I've been looking in this site for a while it's a great source of info! Grancabrio will be my next car , just got to be the right car and the right deal (and colour!!)
