Let’s have some balance, please. The GS is not the very best handling car ever made, but it’s also not some pig that handles like ****. We all know that it’s sensitive to setup – when I bought my car it turned out that the ride height was higher on one side and it was wearing old tyres. Ride height, geometry and new tyres taken care of, it was a very satisfying car to hustle down a nice road. Yes, I’m trading it in for a Lotus Evora, which will have better handling (than pretty much any other car out there), but it doesn’t mean the GS is ****.
It is a great modern classic/weekend car. It has an old school feel, and if you use it just a few times a year for special drives, it doesn’t matter that the gearbox is jerky in town or that the ICE is outdated. It looks and sounds AMAZING, it’s fast and it handles well for a 1680kg four seater.
