To those who may think that I'm casting a dampener recall that Risk comprises two factors.
- Probability
- Impact.
Albeit probability be at manageable levels, impact is dependent upon what part of society one is. If one is young hearty and with robust resilience then it may be considered that the impact would be a manageable discomfort. Your personal risk is low.
However, if one......

The lockdown was never about minimising death rates but being able to manage the threat. It required collective responsibility not only to yourself but the common purpose.
We are now in a phase of transitioning away from that collective responsibility to one of managing personal threat.
A shift to the defensive for those at risk.
I for one am not pleased that my personal restrictions are being further extended for longer than would have been necessary if rates had allowed eradication by summer end as is predicted in Scotland.
Although CAA has relaxed restrictions on Flying in that 2 may be in close proximity in a cockpit, and in theory I could obtain my check out and revalidation for my license. That's fine for low personal risk. Not sure how rigorous the measure would be.
