yes indeed they are vacuum pipes, they attach to a manifold thingy on the air cleaner I think they equalize pressure or something like that. the Spica system is a little involved there are barometric capsules thermostatic actuators etc, I do not profess to be an authority on them, but I know a man who is. Once set up it is apparently a good system and relatively reliable. I would think alfatwo knows much more about them than me.

By the time I have finished with it you may regret making that offerWhat a wreck, I'll take it off your hands at the right price
Regarding the workshop, I built it two years ago. Had a double garage attached to the house but wanted more car space and somewhere to tinker with them. Think there is another thread for this but can't be bothered to find it right now.View attachment 80525
Been thinking about this thread title, and imagine that perhaps some people see it and think ''NOT ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE THREADS' so is it possible to alter it? if so how?
I was thinking something like 'A YEAR IN MONTREAL'
I may regret asking this but any other suggestions

On the way to a SM meet at the Orchard a few years ago I saw 3, yes 3 Montreal’s in convoy on the M26.
To see one is rare. But 3!!!! I know Black and White who used to be at Brands Hatch were restoring a couple so wondered if they were on their way there.
It was certainly a sight to behold!
Not sure what I’m more jealous of. The car or the garages.
Yes exactly that, if you look closely at the air box you will see we have modified the adjustment with some taps. The pipes are the idle control system by the looks of it. Something Maser should have done with the 3200.
