True dat! I distinctly remember an article in Classic Car, some time late 90s, interview with a classic trader, listing his top most unloved classics - they included Montreal, “I could find you any of the entire RHD production run for sale” Fiat Dino “6 grand car with temperamental 10 grand engine”, Citroen SM “lovely but no one knows how to fix them and they’re all broken”. Pretty sure he also mentioned Espadas and he definitely said “any ISO or Monteverdi”.
All of these were sub 10 grand cars even then...As were Jensen Interceptors, which I also loved. I was penniless, rootless, living in rented shared houses with other wasters, and drove a £500 shed around this time, but resolved that as soon as I got the money I’d buy one those cars..... But of course by the time I got my finances together, prices had got silly....
I remember Mike Hailwood’s Iso Grifo being for sale just under £20k. I put the money into a house deposit
