Unbelievable how the EU get the blame.
BoJos fault as he got the Deal that no one else could if I remember.
Not unbelievable - absolutely correct.
You can blame the UK (voters, Tories, May, Boris...) for upsetting the status quo by leaving the EU, as having Ireland and the UK both in the EU was certainly a great help to blurring the border issue to help to avoid political conflict.
But even while the UK was within the EU there was a fairly 'hard' border between NI and Ireland for many issues (VAT, fuel duty, personal tax, currency, citizenship, voting, abortion laws, healthcare, number plates.....). And there was a fairly 'hard' border between NI and the rest of the UK (the sea, governance, political parties, armed police, weapons searches, same-sex marriage, security surveillance...)
But once the UK decided to leave the EU, the EU made the border issue a central 'problem' in order to try to damage the UK, and the Irish government was pressured to go along with it, and foolishly agreed. People started saying 'With Brexit you MUST have THE border between the UK and Ireland, or between the mainland of the UK and NI, but not both, when
both is exactly what we already had.
It would have been easy for everyone to have downplayed the politics of this issue, while finding practical solutions. So, yes the EU gets the blame. They were willing to inflame tensions and risk creating a civil war in order to protect their imperial narrative.
What practical solutions? See here:
