Seems ok......just keep the warchest handy...nice to see them over the 100K mark

Am sure very few of the pre 80s cars got near that.......in a 10 yr period

If nothing else, it shows these cars can cover intergalactic mileages without grenading themselves. A cheap exotic.

A nice car that andy.....

Said to Liz we will sell her VRS, sell the GTV offer 7k and she can buy a shed for 1k...Thought I would have had a get lost but she said OK...........That was a shock.....Not sure I would do it mind as its not the buying its the running and although the miles are commendable that whole car has done 109k which is a lot of stress on a car that is not know for being robust......To be honest Dem no matter how much I loved my old 3200 don't think I would have another as they are now getting on and its probably worth aiming for a 4200 than a 3200 for reliability.............Unless it was an AC like yous that is............I know the one at Autofficina is expensive but keep looking at it and it does look stunning....If in the market I would have to think about it...

You do need 3k a year for running.....
Shame as that car has your name all over it.....i do agree that a 3200 now being 10 years old will need a lot of care whereeas a 4200 less so and something like si GS at that price even better

Having said that Dem.....if each owner over a 4 yr period repairs the worn out items....they will last another 4/5 years....so hopefully not every year spending 3k........basically...a service and tyres....every 2nd year something needs refurbed and a big service........people don't do huge miles in them as a rule of thumb.......instead of the 109K eg up for discussion......most are 60-70K at ten years old.

It's hard to say really on the 109k....If it has a great servic history and passes an indy inspection no reason why it shouldn't be reliable I suppose...Robert Aerospace has seen a few 3200's with 100k up and would prefer one to one with 20k on the clock.....And also at 7k surely it ain't going to drop much further...If you put another 30k on her and need a new engine, whats the cost of an engine?.........Whatever a very cheap car.....

Faultless logic Andy. I think I would rather have a 4200 with 109k but it's still an attractive proposition. What could possibly go rwong!?
