Just got the car back from my Indy (PK Supercars) and thought it might be worth mentioning this issue for others with an auto 3200. Apologies if this has ben mentioned before on another thread.
Here is the vaguely technical piece : While carrying out the annual service a leak was identified from the rear gearbox tailshaft seal and there was found to be play in the bearing. Once the exhaust and propshaft were removed to gain access to the tailshaft, the shaft retaining nut was also found to be loose and could be removed by hand. Phil at PK advised that he has seen one 3200 with this problem already which had gone unattended by an owner until it was too late - the bearing and seal gave up the ghost completely in that instance resulting in enough vibration in the driveline to crack the gearbox casing and resulting in a replacement 'box being required. Mine is all back together and in good health as it was caught early but might be worth others bearing this in mind (pardon the pun) !
