I have just changed the 4200 to a Gransport and I must admit I am shocked at the difference. The car is so much more well planted to the road and the complete driving experience is just fantastic.

Hi guys,

Yes it is Nettuno with avorio. My 42 was a 2002 so I suppose the later 42`s would probably be a lot closer to the Gransport.

I am not taking anything away from the 42 as I really liked the car and had a fantastic 3500mile european trip in it. Its the difference in the two cars that really surprised me.

Absolute beaut , probably the best combo for me , excellent find , the difference is stark between the 2 , but the 4200 surely has it on the agression stakes when your seriously planting the right foot , thrashing the gransport is like riding a lazy stallion , you really gotta dig those stirrups in and let her know who's boss , but they handle far better , with the 4200 your never the boss when your giving it a good thrashing , rather like a bucking bronco , hold on fro grim death :road_rage-28:

regards loz

Ronan

Lovely looking car. Congratulations.

Did you sell the 4200 with the Larinis still on?

Cheers

Congratulations on the new Maserati Ronan. Looks a great example and a lovely colour combination for sure. The speaker upgrade looks very well done. Has the door moulding been changed to accommodate the extra speaker? Would be interested to hear what else has been done?

You've made the same move as I did. Very different feeling on the throttle which, as Loz mentions, needs a heavier foot, but you'll get used to it.

What are your impressions of the build quality? I'll be interested to hear if they're the same as mine were.

Happy motoring. :D

never thought i would read that!Interesting!

Not as much on the later facelift 4200's Nikos (from what I know), but on the earlier 4200's the way the GS adds speed is quite different. you need to be heavier on the throttle pedal, which is weird at first as the valved exhaust makes you think you're racing ahead.
