Anyone have experience of either or both?

Would appreciate your comments/thoughts...

I highly recommend going to Ferrari Chat to read up on the topic.

If I recall correctly, the 550 with the Fiorano pack is the one to go for. I personally prefer the original 550's looks over the facelift of the 575M.

Enz, experience of a 575 with Fiorano pack as my brother in law has one...Its a stunner...But most reveiws say the 550 is better especially with the Fiorano pack. Don't think there are many 550 with it though. Do a search on the EVO web site as I was reading the old test, used guide and long term tests on there a while ago and lots of info given...They prefer the 550.

I have had a ride in both, if that counts as experience, always been a 550 man myself, slightly better looking.

I think they are the same Enz for service...The thing is Maseratis can sometimes cost more to service than a Ferrari...I think it could cost more if things go bang but my brother in law has never had any issues with his 575 just service.

Because of the V12...or other items?
I am guessing the service costs are about par with the maserati, or am I guessing wrong?

well yes because it is a V12, if you look at the Evo buying guide, some of the pipes at the front of the engine need replacing every 3 years or so (i think) the pipes are 13 quid each but because they are a bit of a bugger to get at, it takes 5.5 hours for this to be completed, at dealer rates of 125 quid an hour, that aint cheap but many owners have described the 550 as bulletproof if they are a well cared for example.

The Evo buying guide is a really well detailed piece of info that is a must read IMO.

If you get yourself a good specialist you can nut that rate in half if not more.

Yeah, there is loads of people who come to the specialist i worked for as soon as their car had expired it's warranty as they didn't like the labour costs, one guy who had a 430 had to change his wipers, Ferrari charged £152 for this for some stupid reason.
