Back to the rear brake pipes today. Struggling to access the hardpipe to Flexi union. Decided I'll drop the rear exhaust, but again, fixings very rusty!

Removed exhaust pipe to back box to gain access, what chore, one flat at a time, but got it. Not a job I'd like to do again. I had a split ring spanner for the Flexi , and 11mm for the pipe fitting.

First hard line in, needed a union, not ideal, as there was just no way to thread the complete pipe through and around suspension components etc. Second one to fabricate and fit, then once that's done and all bled, I will tackle that dodgy looking fuel line.

Today's updates. Attempting to remove the hard pipe, that runs the length of the car, from the front, as usual access is atrocious lol. Decided to remove the abs pump so I could get my hands in, but also to replace the cradle, as the power steering reservoir bracket had a terrible bodge fix which annoyed me, I got a new cradle a few years ago but seemed a lot of work to replace it, but now is a good opportunity.

Access is a lot better now! Abs pump moved back, fittings a tad tight but didn't round any thankfully. Took pictures of part numbers while there, pump and shock absorber actuator, not sure if different for the AC but handy for reference.

Hurrah! Well that was a pig. Clipped in behind a heat shield which had to remain in place as one bolt totally in accessible, loosened the rest off to prise it from the clip.

Refitted rear brake lines to block, ABS pump and power steering cradle replaced, abs pump fitted and piped up, and refitted the heat shields. Just took time to ensure nothing got cross threaded. Engine bay work completed for now. The rest of the pipework is under the car.
