Battery not jumping on 2014 quattroporte

Tip,
QP6/Ghibli with a fully shorted battery won't start if you connect power cables to the front starting points. (it will if the battery has some cells left and is giving some current) as the battery control module (IBS) on the battery detects voltage and amperage (yellow connector goes towards the emergency cut of switch)
A shorted battery can cause the system to cut front power distribution box feed. (this is a safety feature designed to isolate the engine and fuel system of power during a crash)
But that same feature can isolate it if the system is triggered accidentally.

How to solve: install a new battery and reset.
Also, the IBS module can be the source of power related gremlins on early cars.

Jump start
On early cars there are a few mistakes in the manual and labels, the earth position is the radiator support. early cars have a incorrect arrow on fusee box pointing upward (I recall the manual was only incorrect in '13 production)
Do not jump the car from the battery in the boot you can easily damage a module or cause a power surge (we've had a few customer that made that mistake)

FYI here in the shop I have only ever seen this on '13 and '14 QP6 and '14 Ghibli
I recall later cars have a alteration on the fuse box to prevent this odd situation from happening.
