I have probably put it into words badly. I’ve had 3 visits since. My blood pressure hasn’t increased or my need to change my dosage.
cholesterol remains in same range. As you say it’s very personal.
Yes. This is all very much about a tailored-care approach for individual patients but following evidence-based medicine for 'best practice'. Key is 'risk stratification' and risk modification interventions.

Interesting little thread. I’m on 5 mg ramporil for the Bp and have started on the “Cholesterol reducing Weetbix”- both conditions inherited from my Dad.
I’m more concerned about the cholesterol as I tend to eat low fat everything and cannot really make any dietary/ exercise changes (apart from drink less).

I’m due another annual MOT test and am hoping the Weetbix will do it’s job.....trouble is the weekend gets in the way and I forget it for three or so days......which probably takes me back to square 1.

Anyone else used it with success?

I’m on 10mg lisinopril. Nothing for cholesterol even though mine was high. Nurse told me off and said I had to change my diet. Dr told me it was high but because my “good” cholesterol was far higher than the bad he said no issues. Changing diet may change it 10%, so don’t bother.
I was told that too re the "good".....see my figs.

I suffer from white coat syndrome. Went to have it checked and it was high. Went and bought the same monitor, was still high, then I did it every 5 mins and it came down to normal. Most odd but I suggest anyone who has it, buy the machine and monitor it yourself, they aren't expensive, about 40 quid.
