Brexit Deal

I think she put herself in this position. What I cannot get my head around is why she didn’t put the draft agreement before Parliament, let it get voted down and then go back to the EU. She’d have appeased most of the MPs on both sides and would have a larger stick (or medium sized twig) to walk in to Barnier’s office with.

I don’t see any difference except another day lost and much hot air spent in the voting process. Everybody, including the EU, knew the outcome so why waste the time? And why play to the political agenda of others

Eight years to Citizenship though and away from this madness. Best bet is to marry an Italian lass, quickest and don't even have to be in Italy. Wonder why cars can't count as Italian lasses?
I'm hoping I dont need to do 8 years, If I could do til i'm 55, 4 years, then that should be enough in the pot, combined with my military pension to semi retire, and I say semi, as there is no way I can sit round home all week, so would like to go part time or do short term contracts.

At the end of the day this whole mess is due to Cameron hoping to get UKIP on side to avoid a fractured vote, and then whoever was responsible putting zero thought into the wording of the referendum and not giving people guidance on the real issues they'd be voting for via white paper to every voter.

If she’d put it before Parliament on the 11th, which was the next step as it was agreed by the Cabinet, she wouldn’t have risked losing her job. She’s making the same mistakes she did by calling a general election.

So it looks like May wins this eve.
What happens next? She will bang on about this deal or no deal for 6 weeks then loose the parliamentary vote ?

Can’t help feeling she is the puppet on the strings, won’t get deal thru, no deal or remain....
And everyone has told us there is only one good option out of those 2!

There are no puppets on strings, there is only Parliament! Sovereign Parliament. Also known as the will of the people. People wanted to take back control, well this is it. Direct Democracy in action. The thing we had and still have before, during and hopefully after our membership of the European Union.
