Just a heads up for any Granturismo owners, David Askew was selling a new & unused stone chipping kit, part # 920002003.
I don't know if he still has it but is a permanent solution which stays on the car once applied

Just out of interest, what is the group buy for? Is it still 100 feet of tape per car on 600 foot rolls?

That's about it. Below is what I've ordered. It may be a little more than we need, but with so many of us it's an unknown at this stage. I'd certainly rather have too much than too little. If we end up with excess we can sell it to other SM members on the day or people at other gates - perhaps they can have their cars protected and pay a chunk to the charity?

Just an observation - these are the same prices as their website and they provide a free applicator with every roll on there. I don't think you are far off, that's 7m2 each which is roughly enough to cover the front of a car to the windscreen with two layers.

The narrow tape seems particularly poor value, £17.24 per m2 vs £5.55 per m2 for the wide long roll. The wide 100' roll is £13.36 per m2.

Here's some perspective - we're doing a charity event and we don't want our cars damaged if possible. The cost to buy this stuff is less per head than any smart repair or otherwise. I decided (and mentioned previously) that I thought it better to pass any discount to the charity rather than personally profit. They have donated more than 10% of the order and provided another roll for free to us. They are sending some of the tape from California for the same price as quoted for local delivery.

Time to put the calculator down and see this for what it is. I'm very busy and spent a lot of my own time liaising with the company. Anyone who wants to step in and organise these things please be my guest.

If it were me I would jump at the chance of such a small amount to protect my paintwork. The cost and effort to put paintwork back is a pain.

MAFs also put a lot of effort and paid the money out of his own pocket to help you so come on guys, don't leave him out of pocket please.

I have ordered an applicator and cutter off ebay. It's was £4.50p. I'll bring a spray bottle too because I think you need water to assist in applying. Thanks for organising Maff.

Mark, do you know if the other clubs are taking up on this offer...........I see that John has endorsed the tape...Also I know they are giving an amount to charity with every sale....How is that going to work buddy. Would be good if the money they give to charity for every SM sale went into the SM total for the day....

Well done Mark now stop crying and see you on the Friday :D

I'm sending out payment details today. Will you wait 2 months before you respond to that as well? I think Mav's wallet guardian is eyeing up a new job with you!
