I like the colourway of this “launch spec” car. But the mouldy looking interior, engine warning light, sticky plastics and the fact it needs paintwork all put me off. Let’s be honest, it certainly doesn’t present as a much loved example.
Not sure about the mileage either, given the wear on the steering wheel and drivers bolster - but I could be wrong.
For me, at auction, it’s maybe a £12k car as a sight-unseen purchase.
The Fuji car Dickie has looks way better. Though at an understandably different price point.
Not necessarily wear - my car with 33k miles had a steering wheel which looked worn out - turned out the only owner before me liked his hand cream - Yuk! - and had deposited enough of it on the wheel to make it look like faded black leather. 1hr with leather cleaner, a medium brush, a bit of swearing and it came up like new. The seat bolster wear is also normal if the drivers have been with big bones...
I agree on your price assesment though - there is a lot of elbow grease to go into that interior before it can be worthy of the Trident and at 45k miles it's either crying out for a new clutch, or the auctioneers aren't great at advertising a great selling point (that it has had one recently)...
Market overall seems a bit **** at present - a collectors grade CSL made only £130k odd last week, there is a 924GT in great condition for £58k on the market, 911GT cars are also subdued...
And yet, a 2016 Maserati GTS with 18k miles on the clock made 4k over CAP Clean at BCA last week... Go figure...
