Dash cams may be your only defense; prove that cars were overtaking you at the time? Tracker can also provide very detailed accounts of a journey.

Hello All,

Just been reading The Times and then laughed when Matt was quoted!

Then reading this post we are all agreed that if you speed and get caught they will come down on you, zero tolerance!

A couple of years back Lewis, Enzo and I were travelling to Calais from four days of travelling in France, Germany and Switzerland and we were done.
Well poor Enzo was caught and a 90 euro fine on the spot handed out. (We divided the fine between us)

So, with this news paper article and the post here on the forum at least we are fully aware of the state of play over the channel.
Plus, I'm counting down the days to the Classic at Le Mans!

Steady as she goes!!!:auto14::auto14:

I'm just glad I didn't get caught when I took Stewy for a run into Arnage. They would have sent me straight to the 'Big House' for a party in the showers.

Thought that was Matt in the article. Came across very well. While the reported didn't mention SportsMaserati by name, there was reference to "Maserati owners" which was far better than no
Mention at all. Good on you Matt.

Was it just online or did it make the printed publication?

If anyone has one, I would love to have it, pm me for my address.

Call me cynical, but when the transfer of information is ratified and we get 'done' in France, 'they' will come up with some excuse as to why they can't prosecute french drivers caught in Britain. Mark my words. Also, do the frogs get points for speeding or just a fine? If it's just a fine we get screwed again as we will get points as well. Justice? Bollox.

They get points taken away from their licence - essentially the same system but in reverse. Clean French licences have 12 points on them.

I can see the UK adopting the same system.... Costing money, but achieving nothing.
