Strange as I thought all QP after September 2008 had the new nose. Not my specialist car mind!

It is rather strange. Unless the car was ordered with pre facelift spec and somehow had to be fulfilled this way. I'm simply unsure which is why I am doing a lot of digging on my car, might be in for a lovely surprise whatever it may be.

That is odd that it was manufactured in 2009.....I also thought the last ones were 2008.......I do believe they built both models for a while next to each other as a run out but didn't think it was as late as 2009.

Well this is the info I have so far, it is constantly evolving but wont know 100% until I contact Maserati UK for full disclosure of car. They cant do this until I retrieve my V5 form, bloody Swansea are taking a lifetime.

Ok so retrieved the V5 form today. I believe it is a 2008 manufactured car if so here are the stats on it:

-403 Produced Worldwide in 2008, Only 32 Delivered to the United Kingdom.
-OTR UK Price of my car was £86,400 according to Maserati UK which included alcantara and dark grey alloys, none of which my car has? Having bought the car as advertised as a Sport GT, I am unsure how much I have gained.

My spec is apparently as attachedunnamed.jpg

However, I do not have any alcantara whatsoever and high silver alloys not dark grey. What are safety belts and rear shelf?

I have asked Maserati UK to confirm 100% that my car is a 2008 production and the reasoning behind the alloys/alcantara. If it is a 2009 product, the number I am told are considerably lower.

Are you sure they got the right car ? when I got my build sheet it didn't match and when queried they admitted it was the wrong vehicle

Rear shelf is the back parcel shelf and safety belts are the seat belts

Do you have bordeaux stitching ?

Yes I have the bordeaux stitching. They have the correct car as most things correspond however the wheels and alcantara does not due to the fabric headlining / all leather and high silver 20"ers

Chris,

Yours looks like an Early 2008 Car,

If the B post GT badges & wheel centres have Red logos, that would confirm it.

The Front Bumper has separate fog lights on the 2009 Cars
The Darker 20" wheels were 2009.

I would enjoy it regardless, I've had my 56 plate Jan 07 car for nearly 4 years now &
still look back when locking it :)

Cheers

There are no badges on the B Pillars, this was the thing which told me originally it wasnt a Sport GT.

Ohh yea the look back doesnt get old thats for sure.

I also noticed that the headlight washer system is very similar to Bugatti, not sure if VW influence the company's decisions somehow lol

Having had an '08 GTS the standard spec was to have alcantara inserts on the seats, dark chrome Neptune 20" wheels and body coloured door handles and de-chromed window trim. I believe the seats could be ordered in full leather and the wheels could also be changed, although I doubt there would be a switch from 20" to 19" as the braking set-up was unique to the GTS model and may not have allowed 19" wheels. The other point to note is that the GTS came with single stage damping, not sure skyhook was even an option. Hope this helps. By the way, if it is a GTS, they are fantastic cars to drive, incredibly well set up and well worth the extra over a Sport GT.

I know little about the QP spec but the GranTurismo GTS comes on 20" wheels as standard but they do give both 19" and 20" tyre options for winter running so you can fit 19" wheels over GTS front brakes (at least on the coupe!).

Maserati Heritage will give you the full build date and list of equipment on the car, give them a call, they just need the VIN..!!

the ball polish wheels here are 19" though.

Yep, they were a NCO on the Sport GT...Unfortunately I do not have the Sport GTS spec but I know that 20inch dark wheels standard and the silver was a NCO I believe.

Looks like a GTS to me. Has the carbon inserts, which I believe were standard, the alcantara on seats, door cards steering wheel and gearlever, the 20" wheels and the dark exhaust tips. Nice car and probably priced about right given their rarity.
