I'm planning to buy my first Maserati, a QPV soon, Covid-19 restrictions permitting. This car is for sale in Leighton Buzzard and caught my attention. Does anyone know it or have any advice?
It a 2007 Quattroporte 4.2 Executive GT that has been wrapped, pearlescent white though I think it was previously Blu Netuno. Its registration is MX56 JNO.

Has the picnic tables, and the rear a/c controls, not sure white suits any big car, I don't like it, what's the price? Is it a DS our auto? Probs DS if I remember my dates, in which case check clutch...

MOT history says it's colour is Grey.
Be wary of rear suspension wear on the advisory.
Personally I think the colour and interior look Sharp.

Thanks Phil. I noticed that advisory too. Any idea what the cost of a repair might be?
I have yet to see it in the flesh, but I think pearlescent could work well. All the QPs I have seen to date have had metallic finishes which seem to suit the car, so pearlescent might suit it too.

As regards the repair it's hard to say not knowing which parts are worn.
An inspection by one of our known specialists is what's needed.
No mention of a rusty front subframe but that needs a really good look at.

It's a ZF auto, so no clutch issues, but on a 56 plate which is very early. Never seen that before

I would never buy this over @Kincath car which is in the classifieds. It’s a facelift, so cooler LED lights etc and has had monster work on the subframe etc etc. Ask him for the 10 page pdf on the rust repair work! In all seriousness, if you want a QP, it’s the one to buy.

Personally I’d never buy a wrapped car. You just don’t know what’s underneath. They don’t last forever.

I'm inclined to agree. I wouldn't even go to view a wrapped car. Paintwork is simply too expensive to sort out if it's in a mess underneath.
That said, it'll potentially make a bargain for someone as those looking to buy a QP is a limited enough market in the first place.

Can't help but think Outrun above is right, Kincath's car looks amazing, and a bit of a steal too!

Wouldn't go near this car myself.
There is a similar white wrap car going for 1/2 this price which shows how poor the market views a messed with Mazer.

There are so may better ones out there for the same money... why pick one with some cheep plastic finish???

I live 15 minutes from LB so if you want another maniac to view it , just let me know. I do quite like poking around a Maserati.
Just checked and can see where the car is based, will have a nosey tomorrow anyway. Current market I think 12k is ambitious

Yep UK launch was Jan 07 IIRC.

Some info here: https://cazana.com/uk/car/MX56JNO

This was registered on 2 February 2007, apparently. (a 56 plate is 1st Sept 2006 to end Feb 2007)

And its last MOT, supposedly, was on October 2017 - what happened after that?

Mileage chart looks ok.

69920

I personally don't like wraps or white, but that's a personal opinion thing.

Interior looks very nice.

Thank you rs48635.
When our movements are restricted by Covid it's great that you can have an educated poke around the car on my behalf. many thanks,
Alan.

Trump will be popping up next.
Looking forward to seeing what you think.

car was viewed and looks good. Nothing to put off a prospective buyer.
The executive GT has really nice interior - Alcantara roof lining and seat inserts plus other nice extras. made a few notes so anyone interested pm or email me.
The interior condition matches the displayed mileage 49230.
